What a great day at the Holroyd Special School, Merrylands NSW.
Seventy Two excited children with special needs taking part in a DreamCricket experience, ably supported by thirty enthusiastic High School students, who all said “we want to do this again”.
Great to have the Rotary Club of Holroyd supporting the DreamCricket program and the teaching staff of the school being so supportive.
DreamCricket Australia needs more Rotary Clubs to realise the value of this Rotary inspired program for children, who, for many reasons miss out on many experiences that other children take for granted.
High School students take away from the experience a greater understanding of the difficulties that the participating special needs students, the parents and teachers contend with each day.
Congratulation to all that contributed to a very successful day.
Ken Adams, Coordinator for DreamCricket Australia.
